JV Lady Tigers lose to N. Murray
The Dawson County High School junior varsity Lady Tiger basketball team got a taste of "varsity" action when it traveled to North Murray High School last Friday night.
Region play begins
The Lady Tigers lost a tough battle to Region 8A-AA foe Union County last Wednesday in Dawsonville. Despite keeping the game close for much of three quarters, the Lady Tigers fell to Union 51-41.
Boys finish week 1-1
It was an up and down week for Head Coach Thad Burgess and his Tiger basketball team last week. In a rescheduled make-up game with Union County, the Tigers were victorious with a convincing 53-43 win.

The Georgia High School Association recently announced the new region alignments for member schools beginning next fall.
Classic a success
The 27th annual Amicalola Classic wrestling tournament was held Jan. 1 and 2 at Dawson County High School. The tournament was a huge success with Gilmer County taking the team championship.
Wrestlers prepare for classic
Tiger wrestler James Evans captured a first place tournament champion's medal at the Walnut Grove Invitational on Saturday, Dec. 19. Evans wrestles in the 112-pound weight class. He finished the tournament with an impressive 6-1 record.

Dawson County High School varsity baseball coach Jimmy Pruett breathed a sigh of relief after Saturday's final out against Banks County. His Tigers broke a five game losing streak, by beating the Leopards, 14-0.
