Tigers take tri-meet

The Dawson County High School varsity wrestlers traveled to Blue Ridge Jan. 20 for a tri-match with host Fannin County and Towns County. The Tigers came away with victorious with a 54-21 win over Fannin County and a 48-33 victory over Towns County.

Lady Tigers remain perfect

The Dawson County High School varsity Lady Tigers' basketball team didn't miss a beat after being off for 10 days. Coach Steve Sweat's team made the long trip to Homer on Friday and defeated Banks County, 55-40.

Playing on the road in a very hostile environment and against the No. 2 team in Region 7-AAA was not a good combination for Coach Thad Burgess' varsity boys' basketball team Friday night. The Tigers dropped to 4-17 after losing to Banks County 73-38.
