Both of the county's middle schools will open their football season this Saturday, against each other. To top it off, the teams will play at Tiger Stadium on the campus of Dawson County High School.
The Dawson County Middle School softball team just can't catch a break with the weather. On Friday, the Lady Tigers played host to Union County. Trailing just 3-2 in the third inning lightning was detected in the area and players were removed from the playing field.
