Hampton and Micha Phillips of Dawsonville announce the engagement of their daughter, Kimberly Phillips, to John Lawson.

He is the son of Stanley and Judi Lawson of Cleveland.

The bride-elect graduated from North Georgia College & State University with a bachelor of business administration degree.

She is employed by Hanjin Shipping in Alpharetta.

The groom-elect received a bachelor of finance degree from North Georgia College & State University. He is employed by Freudenberg-NOK in Cleveland.

A September 2012 wedding is planned and the couple will reside in the Dawsonville area.
