City to replace current water meters with electronic meters
Switch to begin July 31

A recent notice posted by the city of Dawsonville states that the replacement of all city water meters will begin Monday.

In place, new and more efficient electronic meters will be installed, according to the notice.

The water will be shut off for approximately 15 minutes while the replacement is completed, according to the notice. The entire project should take between three and six months.

The contractor performing the work is M&E construction and their service vehicles should be labeled as such.
