The Veterans Affairs of Dawson County and Dawson County High School JROTC have coordinated their efforts to commemorate the federal holiday.

Monday, May 25 residents are invited to Veterans Memorial Park, Highway 9 North at 3 pm. The day's events will include a keynote address by House Rep. Kevin Tanner, presentations, wreath-laying and a moment of silence.

The Veterans Affairs of Dawson County was formed in 2006 and continues to serve local veterans and their families.
