Students from Dawson County High School attended a legislative luncheon Feb. 15 in Atlanta to promote support of career, technical and agriculture education programs in Georgia.
Speakers for the program included Gov. Nathan Deal, Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle and State School Superintendent John Barge.
Each official discussed the importance of career, technical and agriculture education.
The luncheon was attended by legislators from across Georgia, as well as state and local officers for student organizations.
From Dawson County, Amzie Pittman served as an official greeter for the event, and was accompanied by five other career technical education members.
Zach Gerrels, FFA Area 1 secretary, and two other FFA students attended.
