Dawson County emergency officials confirmed a man died in a wreck on Shoal Creek Road in Dawsonville Monday morning.

"It was a single-vehicle wreck. The driver left the roadway and struck a tree," said Dawson County Emergency Services Chief Lanier Swafford.

The driver's name has not been released pending next of kin notification.

According to Swafford, there were numerous reports of ice on Shoal Creek Road and three wrecks in the area.
