State Rep. Amos Amerson will host a breakfast meeting Saturday for local residents.
The event will be at Ryan's restaurant near the intersection of Ga. 400 and Hwy. 53.
For the 12th consecutive year, Amerson will host weekly rotating breakfasts between Lumpkin and Dawson counties to give constituents an opportunity to talk to him face-to-face about their concerns and opinions.
"The major topic last Saturday at the Wagon Wheel Restaurant in Dahlonega was how to get a package liquor stores referendum on the ballot in Lumpkin County," Amerson wrote in a recent column.
Amerson, who was first elected to the Georgia Legislature in November 2000, is open to discussions that affect Dawson, Forsyth and Lumpkin counties.
His next meeting will be at 8 a.m. Feb. 4 at the Wagon Wheel Restaurant in Dahlonega.
