Rotary Club of Dawson County is hosting its third annual Rotary Day at Rotary Island on Saturday to celebrate the beginning of summer with free food and activities. The entire community is welcome to the event that will start at 11 a.m. and run until 3 p.m. Hot dogs, cotton candy, popcorn, lemonade, snow cones and other food will be served and activities including a dunk tank and water slide will accompany the grand opening of the Rotary Island splash pad. "Think of it as a down-home, good old fashioned party like the ones that used to be held in small towns across America," said Scott Yochum, who organized the event.
