Find out who exactly lives in that pineapple under the sea Friday night when Dawson County Parks and Recreation kicks off the popular summertime Movies in the Park series with Nickelodeon's "The Spongebob Movie: Sponge out of Water" on the beach at War Hill Park.
Activities for the entire family begin at 7 p.m. with the movie showing on a giant, two-story inflatable screen at dusk.
Admission is free, and movie-goers are invited to bring picnic dinners or purchase from the concession vendors available on-site for the event, which is sponsored by Northside Hospital-Forsyth.
Moviegoers are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair. The event will be no pets, allowing only for service animals.
The park in recent years has undergone major renovations, becoming a very popular place for families to spend their free time.
In addition to the beach, the park offers a fishing pier, boat launches and primitive campsites.
"The Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out of Water" is rated PG for mild action and rude humor.
