Rock Creek Park is preparing to host its sixth annual Trunk or Treat event on Halloween.

The event will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 31.

The purpose of the event is to provide children in the community a safe place to trick-or-treat, including a well-lit area with plenty of parking, restrooms and easy access.

Park officials will designate a specific area in the park for the event, which will be sectioned off from vehicle traffic.

Admission is free and so are most of the activities, including carnival games, a bouncy house, hay rides, face painting and more.

Concessions will be available for purchase.
