Authorities in Lumpkin and Dawson counties say that a manhunt is underway for a “dangerous” and possibly armed fugitive who is wanted on multiple charges by different law enforcement agencies in the region.
In a Facebook post on Thursday afternoon, Lumpkin County Sheriff Stacy Jarrard warned citizens in Lumpkin County and surrounding areas to secure their vehicles, sheds and homes as the manhunt continues.
Jarrard said that authorities are searching for Dylan Finley, a white male, who is approximately 6 feet tall with short or balding hair, last seen wearing a grey or white t-shirt with blue jeans.

Jarrard said that authorities are searching for Dylan Finley, a white male, who is approximately 6 feet tall with short or balding hair, last seen wearing a grey or white t-shirt with blue jeans.
“We are currently utilizing all resources to locate Mr. Finley,” Jarrard said. “We believe he is traveling from the Auraria Community to Hwy 136 in Dawsonville.”
Authorities have allegedly been tracking Finley from Franklin County in northeast Georgia to Lumpkin County since yesterday.
“There are possible multiple charges from different agencies on Finley and it is believed he is dangerous and possibly armed,” the post said. “If you see someone matching this description, please notify 911 immediately.”
The Dawson County Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia State Patrol Aviation Unit is assisting the Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office in this investigation.
