A missing Lumpkin County man has been found safe after an earlier alert Monday afternoon.

Authorities have made contact with missing man Shaun Odysseus Brent, according to a 5:48 p.m. update from the Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office on March 3.

Authorities in Dawson County are now asking for the public’s help after a missing person alert was issued for a Dahlonega-area man. 

Shaun Odysseus Brent, 42, was last seen on March 1 in downtown Dahlonega wearing a white tee, plaid shirt and blue jeans. He is 6’5”, 220 lbs. and has brown hair and green eyes, according to a Lumpkin County alert shared by the Dawson County Sheriff’s Office. 

Brent is known to visit the Dawsonville Publix area, according to the alert.
