Archie Martin, 79, a native and lifelong resident of Forsyth County, died Friday, Aug. 7, 2009.

His siblings, Ellen Brannon, Eunice Gravitt, Alton Martin and Ward Martin preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Thelma Martin of Cumming; children, Debbie and Michael Stewart of Dawsonville, the Rev. Jackie and Teresa Martin, Bryan and Dana Martin, all of Cumming; grandchildren, Bethany Stewart Brown, Nathan Stewart, Christopher Martin, Gracen Martin, Mckinley Martin and Karly Martin; brother and sisters-in-law, Raburn and Willette Martin of Tifton, Louise Martin of Cumming; sisters and brothers-in-law, Pauline and Ed Brooks of Cumming, Willene and Jimmy Thompson of Canton, James Brannon of Jasper; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 10 in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Jackie Martin, Danny Bennett and Jerry Orr officiating.

Entombment followed at Sawnee View Mausoleum.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
