Barbara was born Nov. 19, 1951.

She graduated from Forest Park High School and attended the University of Georgia, where she was in the Redcoat Marching Band.

She transferred to Georgia State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree.

She was formerly employed by the South Carolina Department of Social Services, worked in administration for St. David's Episcopal School in Cheraw, S.C., taught special education at Fairstreet Elementary School in Gainesville, worked as office manager with Chester Financial Planning and most recently at the Waypoint Center.

Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Michael and Erin Webb of Rock Hill, S.C., Matthew Webb of Arlington, Va., Joshua Chester of Durham, N.C.; parents, Junior and Thelma Chester of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Aiden Webb, Hudson Webb; various other relatives also survive.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Dec. 10 at Highlands United Methodist Church in Gainesville with Jeff Coleman, Christy Greenwald and Cindy McClendon officiating.
