Benny Moore, 79, of Cumming, formerly of Alpharetta, died Oct. 30, 2013.

He worked at General Motors for 30 years.

In his retirement, he enjoyed his family, NASCAR and walking in the woods.

He was an active member and loved his church family at Concord Baptist Church.

His parents, Byron and Bertha Moore, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Joyce Moore; children, Kenneth and Sandy Moore, Deborah and Kenny Dunlap, Andrea Oakes; grandchildren, Chris Moore, Kimberly May, Jaime Moore, Jennifer Ray, Jodi Dunlap, Jonathan Dunlap and Whitney Buice; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Emily and David Castleberry; brother, Randy and Betty Moore; various other relatives also survive.

Memorial services were held at 3 p.m. Nov. 3 at Concord Baptist Church with the Revs. Scott Gilbert and Shaun Wright officiating. Inurnment followed at Concord Baptist Church Cemetery.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
