Bobby Eugene Wells, 80 of Dawsonville, died Oct. 9, 2017.

Born July 11, 1937 in Norton, Va. to the late Theopolis Burley and Helen Williams Wells, he worked as a metal fabricator for Coppers.  Bobby loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, and was devoted to his family.

His wife of 34 years, Darlene Grace Smith Wells; and his sister, Lola Wells Dobins, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Joanne and Timothy Carroll of Ellijay; son and daughter-in-law, Robert Eric and Susan Ann Wells of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Christina McGinty-Carroll, Alexis Carroll, Robert William Wells, Kathleen Grace Conner, Amy Michelle Wells, Zachary Alexander Wells, and Adam Wells; great-grandchildren, Maryalice Wells, Liam Wells, Evelyn Conner; sister, Veda Mae Wells of Harrisburg, Penn.; brother, James Earl “Jimmy” Wells of Jacksonville, Fla.; various other relatives also survive.

A private family memorial service is being planned and will be held at a later date.
