Bobby Gene Mowen, 80, of Dawsonville, died Dec. 14, 2013.

Mr. Mowen was born in Perry, Mo., to the late Thomas Jefferson and Leta Mowen.

He was of the Baptist faith and was retired from Phoenix Acoustical as a general contractor superintendent. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Doris J. Mowen of Dawsonville; three sons and daughters-in-law, Bob and Cathi Mowen of Gainesville, Kevin and Melanie Mowen of Kennesaw, Kelly and Sabrina Mowen of Flowery Branch; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Dec. 17 from the chapel of Memorial Park South with interment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery with the Rev. David Walters officiating.

Memorial Park South Funeral Home of Flowery Branch was in charge of the arrangements.
