Carlton "Buster" Rider, 56, of Dawsonville, died July 7, 2011.

Born Oct. 4, 1954 to the late Carl and Leona Rider, he was a lifelong resident of Lumpkin County.

Mr. Rider was a former machinery installer for Alltek and was a member of Antiock Baptist Church.

Survivors include his son, Billy Joe Rider of Dawsonville, Michael Carlton Rider of Gainesville; sisters, Daisy Shadix, Barbara James, Beverly Bingham, Sue Thompson, Sandra Morris, all of Dawsonville, Nancy Chester of Gainesville; brothers, Harold Rider, Clifton Rider, both of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Logan Rider, Jackson Rider, Breanna Rider, Alexia Rider, Tessa Arroway; special friends, Kim McClelland, James Cato; various other relatives also survive.

Memorial services were held at 3 p.m. July 9 at Bearden Funeral Home with the Revs. Randall Woody and Gary Gravitt officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations were requested to assist with final expenses.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
