Carrie "Monteen" Thomason, 97, of Cumming, died Nov. 9, 2013. Monteen was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church.

Her husband, Dillard Thomason; son, J.D. Thomason; brothers, Roy Bennett, Doyle Bennett, and sister, Irene Buice, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her grandchildren, Karen and Mickey Wheeler, Russell Thomason, all of Ellijay, Will and Valerie Thomason of Atlanta; great-grandchildren, Dillon and Jake Wheeler, Drew Thomason; daughter-in-law, Reta Thomason of Ellijay; brother and sister-in-law, Lane and Lelia Bennett of Gainesville; sister-in-law, Lona Thomason of Cumming; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Nov. 12 in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with the Revs. Monroe Gunter, Harold Evans and Brody Hughes officiating. Interment followed in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations were requested made to Cross Roads Baptist Church.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
