Charles L. Gravitt, 83, of Cumming, died Sept. 11, 2013.

He was a Korean War veteran and enjoyed being with family, gardening and the outdoors.

Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Charlotte; sons, Tony and Dale Gravitt, Avery and Kay Gravitt and the Rev. Dexter Gravitt; sisters, Montene Richards, Louise Castleberry, Jolene Walls and Shirley Holtzclaw; sisters and brother-in-law, Wilena Heard, Geraldine Standridge and Marcus Holtzclaw; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sept. 13 at Coal Mountain Baptist Church with the Revs. Dexter Gravitt, Jeff Gravitt, Danny Gravitt and Danny Bennett officiating.

Interment followed at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.
