Charles Owen, 62, of Dawsonville, died July 10, 2013.

Mr. Owen was born Jan. 26, 1951. A loving son and brother, he had been a resident of Dawsonville for most of his life.

Survivors include his mother, Ethel Garner of Dawsonville; father, Marvin Owen of Dawsonville; brother, Randall Owen of Dawsonville; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. July 12, in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Chris Segars officiating. Interment followed in the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requested donations be made to help offset final expenses.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
