Chris Gore, 60, of Dahlonega, died Aug. 4, 2015.

Chris retired as head of the art department at Dawson County High School after 37 years.

He was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include his parents, Ray and Margaret Gore of Dahlonega; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Aug. 7 at the Davis-Struempf Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment followed at Rosehill Cemetery in Austell.

Davis-Struempf Funeral Home of Austell was in charge of the arrangements.
