Christine Grogan, 92, of Dawsonville, died Oct. 27, 2013.
Born April 14, 1921 in Hall County to the late Emmett and Iris Warren, she lived most of her life in Dawson County.
Mrs. Grogan taught music in the Dawson County School System for seven years, after which she was employed as a case worker for the Department of Family and Children Services.
She then taught piano in her home and finished her career in music after teaching for 50 years.
Her love for her many students was something she talked about for years.
Christine always saw the good in everyone and loved to share her love of Jesus with everyone.
She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy.
In addition to her parents, her husband of 67 years, Wayne Grogan; a grandson, Jeff Grogan; sister, Patsy Johnson; and her brother, Roger Warren, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her children, James and Carol Grogan of Dawsonville, Rita and Harold Garland of Toccoa; brothers and sister-in-law, Cecil Warren of Clermont, Marion and Florence Warren of San Diego, Calif.; grandchildren, Chris Disharoon, Andy and Erin Grogan, Ryan and Jessica Disharoon, Matt and Jenny Grogan, Gregg and Jill Garland, Brandon Cain, Sara Grogan; great-grandchildren, Ben and Izzy Grogan, Jack Grogan, Ella Poole; various other relatives also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Oct. 30 in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. David Smith and Jerrell Beatty officiating. Interment followed in Memorial Park Cemetery.
