Cooper Reaves Mitchell, 15, of Dawsonville, died July 3, 2015.
Born Nov. 3, 1999, he was a lifelong resident of Dawson County.
Cooper was a sophomore at Dawson County High School, where he was on the wrestling team.
He was very active in Young Life, was employed at Cold Creek Farm and attended Free Chapel in Gainesville.
He loved taking care of animals and enjoyed the outdoors, his family and friends.
His grandparents, Chris Pilcher and Susan Binkney, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his parents, John and Christy Mitchell; brothers, Hunter Mitchell, Turner Mitchell, both of Dawsonville; sister, Zoe Mitchell of Dawsonville; grandparents, Carol Pilcher of Rutledge, Glenn Edward and Iris Mitchell of Hampton, Ronald and Alex Binkney of St. Simons Island; aunts and uncles, Kim and Dennis Sitzmann of Madison, Lynn Leighton of Flowery Branch, Daniel and Suzanne Binkney of Newburyport, Mass.; various other relatives also survive.
Memorial services were held at 1 p.m. July 11 at Christ Fellowship Church.
Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
