Curtiss Ray Kohler, 82, died Jan. 10, 2017.
He was born on Sept. 28, 1934 to Harry and Edith Kohler in Otoe, Neb.
He was a member of the VFW Post 5547 Syracuse, Neb., and the American Legion Post 127 in Buford.
Ray lived a long and fruitful life; he was an avid bowler and pool player and loved fast cars, horses and tractors.
He also had a passion for computers and was always up with the latest technology.
He chose to donate his body to medical research.
His parents, Harry and Edith Sporhase Kohler Roberts; brother, Delmar Dean Kohler; and his stepfather, Mark Roberts, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his children, Steve, Laura and Diane; son-in-law, Richard and Eth; brother, Jimmy Jean; former wife, Georgia; grandsons, Jacob and Shawn; various other relatives also survive.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Jan. 28 at the American Legion Post 127 in Buford. In lieu of flowers, donations were requested made to the Wounded Warrior project in Ray's name.
Georgia Campus - Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine of Suwanee was in charge of the arrangements.
