Donna Martin Whitfield, 47, of Cumming, died Sept. 22, 2011.

She was a member of New Day Worship Center in Toccoa.

Donna was employed by the Forsyth County Board of Education as a mathematics teacher at Lambert High school.

She also taught part time at the University of Phoenix in Atlanta and Lanier Tech in Gainesville.

Her father, Jimmy Wyatt Martin Sr., preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Dalton Joseph Whitfield; mother, Barbara Keith Martin; daughter and son-in-law, Mary Elizabeth Whitfield and Aaron Hoar; daughter, Sarah Ann Whitfield; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmy Wyatt and Laura Martin Jr., Tony Ray and Sabrina Martin; grandson, Benjamin Riley Hoar; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sept. 25 in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with the Pastor Anthony D. Coley officiating. Interment followed in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
