Garnetta Reagan Fields, 50, of Dawsonville, died April 3, 2011.

 

Born Sept. 11, 1960 to the late Edward and Fannie Reagan, she was a lifelong resident of Dawson County.

 

A homemaker at her death, she was formerly employed by the Dawson County Sheriff's Office, the Forsyth County Solicitor's Office, the Dawson County Clerk of Courts Office and was a bus driver for the Dawson County School System.

 

Garnetta possessed a great love and devotion for music.

 

Her brother, Dale Reagan, preceded her in death.

 

Survivors include her husband, Ronnie Fields of Dawsonville; children, Gary Wane and Denise Proctor of Roanoke, Va., Josh Proctor of Dublin, Logan Proctor of Dawsonville, Christy Fields of Gainesville; grandchildren, Gary Wayne Proctor II of Roanoke, Va., Carly Layne McAtee of Gainesville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathryn and Elmer Smith, Carolyn and Dorsey Sweatman, all of Dawsonville, Barbara and Steve Kuhn of Greer, S.C.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Garland Reagan, Howard Reagan, Marshall and Elaine Reagan, Butch and Shelia Reagan, all of Dawsonville, Steve and Ann Reagan of Ball Ground; various other relatives also survive.

 

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. April 7 at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Terry Cowart, Gary Keown, Johnny Eubanks and Hamp Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in the Ophir Baptist Church Cemetery.

 

The family will receive friends after 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to assist with final expenses.
