George (Billy) Truitt, 72, of Forsyth County, died Monday, Feb. 2, 2009.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Pat Truitt of Cumming; children, Rev. Wayne and Shirley Truitt, Rev. Scott and Lynn Truitt, all of Dawsonville, Wanda Truitt of Cumming; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Helen Lawson of Cumming, Ann and Winfred Crow of Columbus; sister-in-law, Clara Byrd of Cumming; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4 at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Scott Truitt and Wayne Truitt officiating.

Interment followed in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
