Helen L. Probst, 80, of Gainesville, formerly of Alpharetta and Canandaigua, N.Y., died Aug. 1, 2009.

  

Her husband of 44 years, Raymond H. Probst; and grandson, Bradley Coots, preceded her in death.

  

Survivors include her children, Linda and Jim Browning of Dawsonville, Donna Danylec of Auburn, N.Y., Betsy and Jim Chaput of Dahlonega; eight grandchildren, Marcie (Williams) Hughes, TSgt. Michael Danylec, Christina Thornton, Matt Danylec, Arthur Chaput, James Chaput, Daniel Chaput and Nicklas Chaput; four great-grandchildren; sister, Bette Sandrock of Pittsburgh; devoted friend, Kathryn Salos of Roswell; various other relatives also survive.

  

Burial at Greenlawn Cemetery in Roswell will be private. A memorial service will be held at The Oaks at Limestone, 2560 Flintridge Road, Gainesville, GA, at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 8 with the Rev. Samuel Parsons officiating.

  

To celebrate Mrs. Probst's love of friends, bridge and animals, the family requests that her friends have lunch together, play bridge and reminisce.
