James Matthew Kenny, 50, of Cumming, died Aug. 17, 2009.

Formerly of Paramus, N.J., he was the son of Carol and John Kenny of Dawsonville.

James owned a very successful painting business in Atlanta.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his brother, Daniel Kenny of Cumming; sisters, Michele Wilson of Roswell, Laura Roll of Ramsey, N.J., Jacqueline Frontauria of Paramus, N.J.; various other relatives also survive.

Memorial services were held at 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21 at Christ Redeemer Catholic Church in Dawsonville with the Rev. Stephen Churchwell officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requested that memorial donations be made to Christ Redeemer Catholic Mission, 991 Kilough Church Road, Dawsonville, GA 30534.

McDonald and Son Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
