James W. Durand, 62, of Gainesville (Forsyth County), died May 8, 2011.

His parents, Winfred and Blanche Durand; and his sister, Gayle Durand, preceded him in death.

James was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict

Survivors include his sister and brother-in-law, Toni and the Rev. Ruel Martin of Cumming; brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Dorie Durand of Mechanicsburg, Pa.; various other relatives also survive.

Memorial services were held at 11 a.m. May 13 at the chapel in Ingram Funeral Home with the Revs. Nathan Martin and Scott Sorrells officiating.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
