Jeanette "Cricket" Reece, 77, of Dawsonville, died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009.

A lifelong resident of Dawson County, Mrs. Reece retired from the Dawson County School System after over 25 years of service.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dawsonville and was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Lillie Bruce and infant sister and brother, Mandy and Jimmy.

Survivors include her husband, Harold B. Reece of Dawsonville; children, Diane and James Satterfield of Dawsonville, Mandy Reece of Gainesville; grandchildren, Andrew Reece, Morgan Reece, both of Gainesville; sister and brother-in-law, Dessie Lou and Wendell Wallis of Buford; brother, Cleve Bruce of Dawsonville; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31 at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Don Townley and Hugh Fields officiating.

Interment followed in Dawsonville Memorial Gardens

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
