Jimmy R. Hendrix, 68, of Cumming died Saturday, July 25, 2009.  Mr. Hendrix was a member of Silver City Baptist Church and was the “Best Papa” in the whole world.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Hendrix of Cumming; sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Penny Hendrix of Cumming, Mark and Betty Hendrix of Lumpkin County; daughter and son-in-law, Rachel and Tommy Oglesby of Dawsonville; two sisters, Mattie Mann of Doraville and Shirley Mooney of Cumming; grandchildren, Keisha, Keith, Jodi, Blake, Ashley and Dustin Hendrix, Leah and Aden Oglesby; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, July 28 at Silver City Baptist Church with the Revs. Scott Sorrells and Tim Biddy officiating.  Interment followed at Sawnee View Gardens.

Byars Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
