Lonnie Long, 80, of Dawsonville, died June 29, 2017.
He was a devout Christian of the Baptist faith.
His parents, George and Willene Long; and brothers, Terrell and Larry Long, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Nancy Stapler Long of Dawsonville; children, Elaine Deaton of Suwanee, Polly and Howard Garrett of Cumming, George "Bud" and Michelle Long of Dawsonville; brother, Dan Long of Lilburn; grandchildren, Jeff and Honi Deaton, Christy and Larry Stocks, Jeremy and Nikki Day, Jennifer Day, Mandy and Michael Woodruff, Michael and Anne Long, Dawn Martin; great-grandchildren, Chase, Beau, Finn, Madi, Logan, Anna, Kayla, Brantley, Riley and Hayliegh; brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law, Grace Brumbalow, Jack and Linda Stapler, Annette Burrell, Dottie Stapler, Betsy and Tim Lawson, Elizabeth Stapler, Clifford Byers; various other relatives also survive.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. July 2 in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with the Rev. Rudy Tribble officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.
Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
