Louise Samples, 90, of Dawsonville, died Dec. 22, 2014.
Born June 16, 1924 to the late Toy and Beulah Cantrell, she lived most of her life in Forsyth and Dawson counties.
Mrs. Samples was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, sports and was very devoted to taking care of her family.
Her husband, Lee Samples Jr.; daughter, Rene Samples; sisters, Florene Tinsley, Betty Lou Brumbelow; brother, Ernest Cantrell; and a great-grandson, Abram Ayers, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her children, Linda and Douglas Bennett of Gainesville, Merle and Judy Samples, Debbie and Ricky Holtzclaw, all of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Tony and Barbara Bennett, Scott and Sonya Bennett, Travis and Susan Samples, Trinia Samples, Michele and Eric Gunter, Dori and Josh Ayers; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; various other relatives also survive.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Dec. 27 in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Gerald Blackburn, Jason Hamby and Stephen Davis officiating. Interment followed in the Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery.
Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
