Lucille Garrett Beck, 94, of Dahlonega, died Monday, Sept. 28, 2009

  

Born Jan. 31, 1915 in Gaddistown in Union County, Ga. to the late Lewis and Dona Justus Garrett, Mrs. Beck was a homemaker and was the oldest member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Lumpkin County, having joined the church in 1928.

  

Her husband, Roy Beck; son, Floyd Beck; sister, Marie Moore; and brothers, David Garrett, Bud Garrett and Cecil Garrett, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her grandchildren, Kathy and Bobby Chester, Bill Beck, all of Dahlonega, Steve Barker of Braselton, Bruce and Alicia Barker of Franklin, Tenn.; great-grandchildren, Noah and Anlee Chester, Garrett Beck, Stephanie and Kelly Jones, Derek and Brigette Barker, Holly and Michael Neighbors, all of Dahlonega, Josh and Melodie Barker of Gainesville, Autumn Barker, Virginia, Owen and Bennett Barker, all of Franklin, Tenn.; great-great-grandchildren, Serenity and Grant Jones, Devin Barker, all of Dahlonega; three nephews; four nieces; various other relatives also survive.

  

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30 at Bethlehem Baptist Church with the remains places in state at 1:30 p.m.

  

The Revs. Michael Rodgers, Gerald Edmondson, Lyman Caldwell and Greg Long will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethlehem-Jones Chapel Cemetery.

  

Bearden Funeral of Home Dawsonville is in charge of the arrangements.
