Mary Bishop, 84, of Dawsonville, died Aug. 18, 2013.

Born Jan. 29, 1929, to the late John and Roxie Hensley, Mrs. Bishop had been a resident of Dawsonville for most of her life.

A great woman and member of Harmony Baptist Church, she worked alongside her husband at their chicken farm.

Her husband, Roy Bishop; and son, Glenn Bishop, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her nieces, Linda Horne of Dahlonega, Patricia Chanelle; nephews, James Hensley, Ralph Hensley, both of Ila, Mike Hensley, Steve Hensley; great-niece, Melynda Smallwood of Arcade; various other relatives also survive.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
