Maurice Edwin Martin Sr., 72, of Cumming, died Sunday, Oct. 4, 2009.

Mr. Martin was a member of Grace Baptist Church.

His parents, Bealer and Geneva Martin preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Margaret Martin of Cumming; children, Lynn and Nelson Scarborough of Andover, Mass., Drs. Eddie and Angie Martin, Bradley and Dennia Martin, all of Dawsonville, Brett and Joy Martin of Cumming; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ralph and Mildred Martin, Lyndon and Annette Martin, all of Cumming, Dr. Roger and Vickie Martin of Gainesville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Nancy and Mike Eason, Helen and Steve Shadburn, Susan and Perry Tallant, all of Cumming; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bernice Mills and Preston and Betty Martin, all of Cumming; nine grandchildren, Megan, Oliver, Patrick, Edwin, Emily, Kate, Kade, Kailyn and Rhiannon; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6 at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with the Dr. Eddie Martin and the Revs. Tim Holland and Tim Hubbard officiating.

Interment followed in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
