Oliver Lee Kelley, 74, of Cumming, died Jan. 25, 2013.
He was born May 23, 1938, in Cumming to Arthur Colquit Sr. and Kate Kelley.
He was lifelong member of Concord Baptist Church in Silver City.
Although he had Multiple Sclerosis, he never let it get him down. He loved his Sunday school class and church. Oliver took great pride in being a greeter there on Sundays. He had much pleasure in being a regular in Chick-fil-A during the week. He always had a smile on his face and a kind greeting on his lips. Oliver was a true friend and inspiration to all who met him.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Louise Hamby Kelley; two loving daughters, Linda Kelley Williams (Gordon) of Atlanta, Sandra Kelley Tankersley (Scott) of Cumming; four grandchildren, Luke Hamner, Taralee Hamner, Hayes Tankersley, Noah Tankersley; brother, A.C. Kelley of Athens; sister, Shirley and Carroll Vaughn of Dawsonville; sister-in-law, Helen Hansen of Overland Park, Kan.; sister and brother-in-law, Irene McKinney and the Rev. Bob Mckinney of Loganville; various other relatives also survive.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Jan. 27 in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requested donations be made in honor of Oliver Kelley to Concord Baptist Church WMU, 6905 Concord Rd., Cumming, GA 30028.
Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
