Mrs. Phyllis Ann
Chadwick, born on February 9, 1931 in Fort Wayne, IN, passed away at the age of
87 on March 14, 2018 in her home in Virginia surrounded by loved ones.
She will be lovingly remembered by her brother Donald E. Howey of Indiana; Daughters Linda Mills of Lumpkin County, GA; Cynthia Chadwick Long (David Kelley) of Spotsylvania County; grandchildren Ami Albea, Ivy Bonner (Alan) of Dawson County, Echo Mills (Wesley) of Dawson County, Kara Powell (Daniel), Matthew Long (Jessica); great-grandchildren Logan, Jade, Orion, Sebastian, Lindsey, Lauren and Connor. She is also remembered with love by Gary Long of VA, Mildred Smith of Dawson County, numerous extended family, former students and church family.
Ann graduated Bible College and had a Master’s degree in Education. She was a minister and teacher. Ann enjoyed sports, and loved to be surrounded by God’s beauty of the outdoors. She had a heart for music, and enjoyed playing various instruments. Ann will be remembered for her determination, teaching, mentoring, discipleship, and desire to help others and overall love of life. She followed her dream of opening her own small school, Bay Creek Christian Academy in Lumpkin County. Ann will always be missed. Her love, guidance and wisdom we will hold dear in our hearts.
Ann wished to be laid to rest alongside her husband Robert Jehue Chadwick in Stone Mountain, GA. A Celebration of her life will be held on Monday April 16th at 1:00 pm at Melwood Cemetery located at 5170 E Ponce de Leon Avenue, Stone Mountain, GA, 30083.
