Retha Gilbert Clemons, 61, native of Forsyth County, died Wednesday, March 17, 2010.

  

She was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church and a member of I.A.M. Union.

  

Retha was a loving, caring, devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

  

She touched the lives of everyone whose path she crossed. As a mother, she taught us how to love, live and laugh, no matter what life threw our way. We will forever cherish the memories we hold dear in our heart.

  

Her parents, Ervin and Margrett Evans; and her first husband, Larry C. Gilbert, preceded her in death.

  

Survivors include her husband, Alvie Ray Clemons; sons and daughters-in-law, Charles Dwight and Annie Gilbert of Dawsonville, Christopher Darrin Gilbert and Andrea Stetler of Forsyth County; daughter and son-in-law, Penny and Tim Wilson of Forsyth County; stepson, Scotty Ray Clemons of Forsyth County; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Linda Evans, Terry and Cindy Evans, all of Forsyth County; grandchildren, Charles Benjamin Gilbert, Ashley Nicole Gilbert, Michael Dwight Gilbert, Allison Kay Gilbert, Abigail Maxine Gilbert, Taylor Danielle Gilbert, Whitney Morgan Wilson, T.J. Wilson; nieces and nephews, Trevor Evans, Kristi Jacobs, Tommy Smith, Christa Acuna, Randy Head, Sammy Wright, Jeff Wright, Greg Gilbert, Tina Wheeler, Mandi Gilbert, Missy Chewing, Tony Gilbert, Roger Edwards, Linda Jennings, David Edwards; special friend, Linda Hamrick of Woodstock; various other relatives also survive.

  

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. March 20 at New Harmony Baptist Church with the Revs. Sammy Wright, Steven Owens and Clyde Boling officiating. Interment followed in New Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery.

  

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
