The Rev. John Harvey Smith, 91, of Dawsonville, died March 28, 2015.

His first wife, Lois Smith; two sons, J.B. and Billy Smith; and one grandson, Chris Smith, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Smith of Dawsonville; brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Emelita Young of Dawsonville; special friends, Cicero and Cita Odom; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. March 31 from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with the Revs. Lester Haynes, Jimmy Payne, Bob Garrett and Jeff Gailey officiating.

Ivie Funeral Home of Commerce was in charge of the arrangements.
