Shelby Sorrells Westray, 73, a native of Forsyth County, died May 30, 2010. She was a member of Brookwood Baptist Church.

Her parents, Garland and Jeanette Sorrells, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Alton Westray of Forsyth County; children, Sherri and Winston Taylor, Regina and Russell Patterson, all of Forsyth County; grandchildren, David Patterson and Lauren Dale, Scott Patterson, Laura and Wesley Pruitt, Michael Ott, all of Forsyth County; four great-grandchildren; siblings, Rita and Roger Shadburn of Dahlonega, Judy and Jerry Holbrook, Janet and Lane Millwood, Ray and Lynn Jennings, Doug and Remelba Sorrells, all of Forsyth County, Billy and Barbara Sorrells of Navarre Beach, Fla.; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. June 2 at Brookwood Baptist church with the Revs. Donnie Nix, Don Westray and Doug Carnes officiating. Interment followed in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
