Theron Edward Dutton, 88, of Cumming, died Jan. 28, 2017.
Theron was born in 1928 to the late Elijah (Lige) and Eula Dutton.
He was a member of Cumming Baptist Church and the UAW local 10.
He retired from General Motors.
Theron was a great Christian man and for that he will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.
He will be missed dearly.
His brothers, Robert and Lamar Dutton; and sister, Beulah Davison, also preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Mary Ferrell Dutton of Cumming; children, Greg and Kim Dutton, Diana Dutton James, all of Cumming, Gary and Debbie Dutton of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Emily, Natalie and Jake Dutton, all of Cumming, Trudy and Walter Cain of Lawrenceville; great-grandchildren, Antavius, Chyna and Akeem Cain, all of Lawrenceville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Sanford and Elizabeth Dutton, Ralph and Betty Dutton, all of Lawrenceville, Hoyt and Sue Dutton of Snellville, David and Hilda Dutton of Lilburn, Jimmy and Sharon Dutton of Gillsville; sister, Frances Simpson of Fort Valley; sister-in-law, Evelyn Dutton of Maysville; various other relatives also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Feb. 1 in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bo Thompson officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.
Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming is in charge of the arrangements.
