Victor L. Maret, 62, of Dawsonville, died April 7, 2012.
Born March 15, 1950, in DeKalb County, he had lived in the Chestatee Community of Dawson County for the past 11 years having moved from Gwinnett County.
Mr. Maret was employed by Ingersoll Rand for more than 20 years and was currently vice president of sales.
He served in the Army National Guard for 28 years and retired with the rank of Lt. Col.
Victor was a very loving gentleman who was devoted to his family, friends and business associates.
He enjoyed golf, was a member of Chestatee Golf Club and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dawsonville.
His father, Lamar Maret, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Vicki Maret of Dawsonville; daughters and sons-in-law, Carrie Maret Crews of Roswell, Kimberly and James O'Connor of Jefferson, Sarah and Zach Haislip of Dallas; mother, Sarah "Johny" Maret of Lawrenceville; sister and brother-in-law, Judith and Tony Keyeck of Lawrenceville; grandchildren, Madison Crews, Kelsey O'Connor, Jacob Crews and Kiley O'Connor; various other relatives also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. April 12 at the First Baptist Church of Dawsonville with Dr. Jim Gaines officiating. Interment followed at Yahoola Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. April 11 at the funeral home.
