Wanda B. Smith, 68, of Cleveland, died Sept. 30, 2017. Born Jan. 31, 1949 in Dawson County to the late Hollis and Elda Blackwell, she had lived in White County for the past seven years having moved from Dahlonega. Wanda was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors include her husband, Melvin Smith of Cleveland; children, Lamar and Michelle Smith of Jasper, Jody and Howard Beck of Dawsonville, Wendy and C J Watkins of Cleveland; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Bonnell Swaney Pitts of Woodstock; brother, J C Blackwell of Dawsonville; various other relatives also survive.
