The Dawson County High School swim team recently traveled to Dalton to compete against Coahulla Creek, Heritage, Southeast Whitfield and Pickens. The Jan. 6 meet saw many Dawson swimmers place high in their respective events.
“This meet was a great way to start back after Christmas Break,” said Coach Linda Sperin. “We had a few swimmers that were gone the entire break and this was a fun meet for us to participate in. Nathan Frazier and Garrett Perez both swam six events. They were great sports about it but were worn out.”
According to Sperin, the boys placed second out of the five teams. Currently the team consists of eight boys and three girls.
