The Dawson County High School swim team season opened with sophomore Matthew Wood qualifying for state in the first meet of the year. Wood swam the 100-meter butterfly with a time of 56.50 seconds on Nov. 16 at Calhoun. “He swam that event at last year’s state meet as well,” said Coach Linda Sperin.
